We have many bridges to cross
first thing first: Croatia is under new order since k.u.k.
almost 100 years of persistent shock therapies in Zagreb leaves but tons of fragments of new brave worlds insted of exodus at the rate of 80000 youngsters per decade revive
Short Urban Action Plan for Zagreb:
1. Protect local peculiarities: woodland and public parks (to be) i.e. Z2 and Z1 to make them common
2. invest in local infrastructire / superstructure owned by the city itself
3. hoist education level of general public
4. reestablish, invigorate communication culture of public and semipublic spaces
5. maintain elementary uses of once genuine public space i.e sidewalks are for walking
6. protect complexities of urban heritage
7. help yourself byhelping - protecting endangered people
and do it all just in time
JIT and all year long
P.S.
chief dangers: Unfetter urbanism driven by shock, greed, speed
that leads to over-investment
nostrum: shrink the city and appetite to lebenswerte stadt
